[Cce-faculty-list] Summer students from IITGN

Colleagues:

We have an opportunity to partner with Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN), where they send their top students (who are interested in pursuing a PhD) to Purdue for summer internships. We may accommodate a maximum of 3 students in this upcoming pilot round.

IITGN will carefully vet applications and plan to send each interested faculty member at least two students’ applications to review per project. If the faculty member doesn’t think anyone was right, they would send more.

A list of criteria/skills. e.g. students must be proficient in a particular software, etc.


The students will come May 18, 2026 to July 26, 2026. Students get $1885 a month for 2.5 months. A third of this amount is paid in rupees by IITGN in India, and the other 2/3 paid by the School ($1571) and the PI each. The PI also pays the ISS fee for the ds 2019 document (thus PI total is $1571 + $350 = $1921). Please note that the students on this program find their own housing (typically subletting from other Purdue students who are away for the summer).
