Colleagues:


  1.  This is a friendly reminder about your activity reports that are to be submitted by Jan. 15, 2025, as in previous years.
  2.  I have the following update (in quotes) from CoE about Elements where we will be eventually migrating for annual evaluations:

"It may be helpful if faculty begin making sure their 2024 activity is represented in Elements. This would include publications, grants, and service modules. The teaching module should be updated automatically mid to late January. So, this module needs reviewed later.

The annual review process should open in February, but I will learn more from the Elements team when they've completed validation of all faculty rosters that we sent them in late December.

I hope this information is helpful.
I will keep you updated as this topic develops further."

I have some updates from the CoE regarding the kind of information that is sought in our annual CVs. I have provided the expectations below. This is a friendly reminder about the Jan. 15, 2025 deadline.

"Each faculty member be encouraged to mindfully review their CV in its entirety with a specific focus on updating the following key areas:


  1.  Honors and awards
  2.  Publications and conference presentations
  3.  Research grants
  4.  Patents, licenses, or other commercialization activities
  5.  Teaching and student supervision
  6.  Professional services within and beyond Purdue University

It is also helpful to notate the date of the most recent revision in a footnote or by other means within the document.


Formatting requirements include dating the CVs, and naming them as follows:  Last_First_Unit_2025, e.g., Doe_Jane_ECE_2025.

*Please note that we still request this electronic file for all, even if those who have already uploaded a recent CV into ELEMENTS.

Colleagues:
I am not sure when "Elements" will be fully implemented for reporting of faculty activities. In the interim, please send your updated Form 36 and activity reports in WORD to Whitney by 5:00 pm of Jan. 15, 2025.

  *   Assistant and Associate Professors are required to use the current CoE template available at https://engineering.purdue.edu/Intranet/Groups/Committees/EAPC/PTDocuments. Full professors need not follow the same format. If you do not follow the CoE format, then a full updated resume is needed. Please highlight items for the 2024 calendar year.
  *   Your document should be accurate in terms of factual information.
