All:
As you identify at least two assignments to provide the requisite information for your course, please also share which student learning outcome (SLO) is most relevant to your chosen assignments. It is best to assign one item to one of the SLOs.
This will help us make sure that all SLOs are represented in the materials we gather for ABET.
The list of SLOs is provided below.
My apologies again for the multiple messages.
Thanks and best.

All:
Sorry for multiple emails on this topic. I want to add further clarification points:
1. If your class has no undergraduate students, and has not had any in the last six years, then you do not need to provide any information.
2. If there are no examples of student work that fall in a particular category, then do not provide that particular file.
3. The examples of all student work must be anonymized. Any student identification needs to be erased or redacted from the submission.
Best.

Subject: ABET information
All:
As you know, this is the semester we are collecting detailed information in preparation for the ABET visit next year. The attached spreadsheet shows a list of undergraduate courses for which we need some information from the instructors listed there.
For each course in the list, the instructor is being asked to identify two or more assessment items (homework assignments, quizzes, projects, exams, etc.) that are used to assess the student's performance in the class and contribute to their overall grade. The items you select should be most reflective of ABET outcomes (please see second attachment) in your judgment. For each item selected, collect one example of student work that you would classify as Sophisticated (S), Proficient (P), Competent (C) and Not Competent (NC). Thus each item would have five pdf files that you would submit including the first file which is the item being used for assessment. Please use the following file naming convention for each of these files: Course number-assessment item-number-category.
For example, let us say I chose the fourth homework assignment and second exam for CE 44000 for assessing student performance in my course. I would have five files corresponding to assignment 4, namely (i) CE44000-Assignment-4, (ii) CE44000-Assignment-4-S, (iii) CE44000-Assignment-4-P, (iv) CE44000-Assignment-4-C, and (v) CE44000-Assignment-4-NC. Similarly, I would have five files corresponding to the second exam, namely (i) CE44000-Exam-2, (ii) CE44000- Exam-2-S, (iii) CE44000- Exam-2-P, (iv) CE44000- Exam-2-C, and (v) CE44000- Exam-2-NC.
We will follow up with instructions as to where you would upload all this information. Please reach out if you have questions.
Thanks and best.
