Colleagues:
I am following up on my previous message to you all about books, and have now expanded the message to include lecturers as well. Thank you for your responses to my message below about books. I will let you know what support model is put in place for writing books once we are informed.
Meanwhile, we are being asked to provide reports on book-writing efforts frequently. Specifically, I am seeking your input on
      1) book(s) to be published in the coming weeks/months
      2) Book(s) that were published within the last week
To streamline the collection of information about books, the CoE asks that we provide information in the attached template. Would you please send me this information regarding your book/s by 5:00 pm of Nov. 12th, 2024 using the attached template. This will allow me to meet the CoE deadline of 11/13/2024.

Colleagues:
I am paraphrasing a message from our Dean. There are two items.

  1.  Please see if you know anyone who can be nominated for MDHs from those that have received one or more of the highly prestigious recognitions from NRC (Attached).
  2.  If you are in the process of writing books, or are under contract, or if you have a proposal to write book, please let me know ASAP. Based on your plans, we can see if we can apply for support $$ for this endeavor.

Please note that raise pools will be connected to performance on these measures. We all need to pay serious attention to these indicators and try to move the needle quickly on these.
