We'd like to see broad participation as many of our faculty have participated in this program in the past and have given it outstanding reviews.

With priority registration, the cost of the program is $4,150.  We adjusted the CoE financial model to reduce the faculty member's share from $1,000 to $500, splitting the difference between the college and academic unit.

  *   Faculty member pays $500
  *   Academic unit provides support of $1,825
  *   College provides support of $1,825

Please nominate one assistant professor from your unit by sending Darla Mazur, djmazur at purdue.edu<mailto:djmazur at purdue.edu>, the nomination material outlined below by July 10th at 5:00 pm.

The nomination material should include:

1) 1-2 paragraphs from the faculty member indicating their interest and commitment to completing the program.
2) An endorsement signature from the head that will denote agreement to provide support from the unit in the amount of $1,825

Faculty selected to participate will be notified on or before July 19th.

The program runs from Monday September 30th to Sunday December 8th 2024.

As you know the program focuses on skills and habits that increase research productivity, writing skills and work-life balance. Many Purdue faculty participated over the last few years, and all have nothing but rave reviews of the program. Interestingly, many women faculty candidate recruits continue to ask specifically if Purdue has this program.

The priority tuition cost of the program is $4150 per faculty member (a $750 discount from the regular cost). To receive the discount, NCFDD requires that a single invoice be submitted. On behalf of Purdue, I forward  faculty registrations in bulk to NCFDD in time for priority registration. Names of participating faculty need to be submitted to me by Friday July 19th for the Fall 2024 session. To facilitate the process, please also include department, rank, email contact and account numbers to support the costs of the program for participants in your college.
