[Cce-faculty-list] Fall 2025 application and fellowship information

Hello All,

Thank you for completing the Spring applications.  You all did a great job using Slate for the first time.  It is now time to start reviewing applications for Fall 2025.

Reviews should be done in the Slate system.  We will not be monitoring GradDB for reviews.  To ensure a holistic and fair evaluation, please review as many applications as possible for your area- we would like each applicant to have at least three reviews.  Students pay an application fee and have a reasonable expectation that their application has been evaluated.  Remember that you will have to put the application in your queue to review.  Once you have completed your review, please ensure that the file has been removed from your queue, however, do not change the Bin that the application is in.

If you need help with Slate please let me know.  I would be happy to have a zoom meeting with you to help with any questions you may have.  While in Slate if you find any additional helpful hints that are not on the attached document please share and we will add them as well.

We have put together written instructions, attached.  Please review the instructions and ensure you have access to Slate: https://gradapply.purdue.edu/manage/. If not, please let me know immediately.  Keep in mind that you must be up to date on your certifications:
            *              Data Classification and Handling Educational Resources
*              Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
*              Gramm Leach Bliley Act/Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 (GLBA)
*              Protecting Social Security Numbers at Purdue University

There is also a general video training session available. That link is also attached. There is also a link to it in the written instruction document.

The application deadline for Fall 2025 was December 1st, however we will continue to accept applications until April 1, 2025.  I will be moving application to your bins in Slate as they are completed.   All current completed applications are in Slate for your review.  You can start reviewing and submitting your reviews now.

In anticipation of our admitted student virtual visit in early-March, please have your reviews complete by February 14, 2025 (so we have some admitted students to invite the visit.) Also, please keep in mind we will be accepting recruiting fellowship nominations (Andrews, Ross, Knox and Carver).  Jenny will be sending additional details regarding the fellowship process once we have it from the College, however, nominations will be due to Jenny by January 13, 2025.  Because of the process that the College is using, we do not have any flexibility on deadlines for the fellowships.
