All are invited to attend the Bindley Scientific Presentation on Friday,
December 4th, 11:30am to 12:30pm in MRGN 129.

Jenna Rickus, Ph.D., of Agricultural and Biological Engineering will
present: 

"Inorganic / Organic Hybrid Materials:  Can neurons grow shells? and other
questions."

Her research focuses on integrating biomolecules and cells with inorganic
materials, such as silica.  In particular she will discuss their current
collaborative work applying these approaches to the brain machine interface,
biofilm bioreactors, directing cell fate, and creating biosensors for real
time measurement of neurotransmitter flux.

Refreshments will be provided. We hope all can attend.
