Starting at 2PM!



This Friday for NSAC | Coffee Hour Special Series, our interviewee is BNC Alumni Professor- Prof. Aaron Franklin. Prof. Franklin received his PhD from Purdue University in 2008, completed a direct-PhD in just 3.5 years despite the challenges of transitioning lab equipment during the founding years of Birck. Prof. Franklin was one of the members of NSAC and has served as a docent (tour guide) for first few weeks after BNC's opening. Currently, Prof. Franklin is Addy Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering & Professor of Chemistry at Duke University, with over 90 peer-reviewed papers and more than 50 patents under his belt.



Join us this afternoon as shares Prof. Franklin shares a part of his academic journey with us, and some stories from early days of BNC and NSAC.

Due to COVID, Coffee Hour is moved online and will be held over MS Teams. NSAC aims at providing recognition to all our speakers, and strives to publicize BNC and the research being carried out here to a global audience. With the speaker's permission, the recorded Coffee Hour sessions will be uploaded on NSAC's Youtube channel<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJj86STjrLvgywovLbatD2g> for public access, with due credit to the speakers. All the interviewees will also receive a NSAC Coffee Mug as a token of appreciation.

NSAC is a student organization that strives to enhance the communication among nanotechnology related people at Purdue. We have hosted a bunch of academic and social events in the past years, such as Coffee Hour, Fab Forum, interactive workshops, corn maze, etc. This year, owing to the special COVID-19 circumstances, NSAC will actively shift to virtual efforts to enhance the connections and communications within the community. Let's make nano 'bigger' and stronger together.
