Hi Everyone!



This week, for NSAC | Coffee Hour Special Series, our interviewee is BNC Alumni Professor- Dr. Susmita Dash. Dr. Dash received her Ph.D. in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in 2014. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Prior to joining as a faculty, she worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA..

Dr. Dash received Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship (2013‐2014), and Outstanding Research Award (2013) of Purdue University. She is also the recipient of the 2012 ASME Electronic & Photonic Packaging Division (EPPD) Student Member of the Year Award in recognition of a student who has excelled in research and has shown promise to be a strong contributor in the field of electronic and photonic packaging.

NSAC aims at providing recognition to all our speakers, and strives to publicize BNC and the research being carried out here to a global audience. NSAC is a student organization that strives to enhance the communication among nanotechnology related people at Purdue. We have hosted a bunch of academic and social events in the past years, such as Coffee Hour, Fab Forum, interactive workshops, corn maze, etc. This year, owing to the special COVID-19 circumstances, NSAC will actively shift to virtual efforts to enhance the connections and communications within the community. Let’s make nano ‘bigger’ and stronger together.
