Today for NSAC | Coffee Hour Special Series, our interviewee is BNC Alumni Professor- Prof. Saptarshi Das. Prof. Das obtained his PhD from Purdue University in 2013, and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Sciences and Mechanics at Pennsylvania State University. Prof. Das has been honored with the 2020-21 Rustum and Della Roy Innovation in Materials Research Award, Penn State University, and the Young Investigator Award, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Feb 2017-Jan 2020.

NSAC aims at providing recognition to all our speakers, and strives to publicize BNC and the research being carried out here to a global audience. With the speaker's permission, the recorded Coffee Hour sessions will be uploaded on <https://www.instagram.com/nsacpurdue/> NSAC's Youtube channel<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJj86STjrLvgywovLbatD2g> for public access, with due credit to the speakers. All the interviewees will also receive a NSAC Coffee Mug as a token of appreciation.

NSAC is a student organization that strives to enhance the communication among nanotechnology related people at Purdue. We have hosted a bunch of academic and social events in the past years, such as Coffee Hour, Fab Forum, interactive workshops, corn maze, etc. This year, owing to the special COVID-19 circumstances, NSAC will actively shift to virtual efforts to enhance the connections and communications within the community. Let’s make nano ‘bigger’ and stronger together.
