 9:30 AM         Depart for UIUC ( Please join in Birck astrium)
11:15 AM        Material Research Lab, UIUC visit
12:30 PM        Presentation by UIUC professor
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM MNTL Lab visit
3:00 PM         Depart for WL

*Times shown are consistent with the location in which they appear. (We will leave at 9:30 AM from Birck. All other timings are Illinois timings).


The Micro and Nanotechnology Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research facility at UIUC that houses advanced equipment to support research in photonics, microelectronics, nanotechnology, and biotechnology. The research activities that are facilitated by the Laboratory can be divided into four areas which are: Optoelectronics and Photonic Systems, Microelectronics for Wireless Communications, Microelectromechanical Systems, and Nanobiosystems. The MNTL has a very rich history of innovation, excellence, and leadership evidenced through the development of many paradigm-shifting and revolutionary innovations such as the light emitting diode (LED), laser transistors, plasma display.
