37th Herbert C. Brown Lectures in Organic Chemistry
Date:  Saturday, April 4, 2020

Location:  Purdue University, Stewart Center (STEW) Room 214

This year's event promises to be an exciting celebration to honor the career of Professor H.C. Brown.  The program includes a diverse array of topics in Organic Chemistry by a distinguished group of plenary speakers:

Margaret Brimble, The University of Auckland:  "Peptide-Based Therapeutics: Paving the Way from the Lab to the Clinic";
Huw Davies, Emory University:  "Catalyst-Controlled Site-Selective and Enantioselective C-H Functionalization"  (Recipient of the 2019 ACS Herbert C. Brown Award for Creative Research in Synthetic Methods);
Dawei Ma, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry:  "Exploring New Methodologies to Enhance Synthetic Efficiency"; and
Richmond Sarpong, University of California, Berkeley:  "Break-it-to-Make Strategies for Complex Molecule Synthesis."


All interested students, faculty, and scientists are welcome to attend.  Registration is free and includes lunch for all participants who register by Monday, March 30, 2020.  We also encourage student participants to present their recent works at our poster session and competition, with prizes awarded for the best posters.
