EXTENDED ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE! MARCH 23, 1159pm PST.

We are pleased to announce the 76th Device Research Conference (DRC), to be held at the University of California, Santa Barbara from June 24 to 27, 2018. Two-page abstracts will be accepted by online submission with a deadline of March 16, 2018. The DRC Technical Digest is published by IEEE and will be submitted for inclusion to IEEE Xplore.
For over seven decades, the DRC has brought together leading scientists, researchers, and students to share their latest discoveries in device science, technology and modeling. Notably, many of the first public disclosures of key device technologies were made at the DRC. This year marks the 76th anniversary of the DRC-the longest running device research meeting in the world. As we commemorate this meeting, the high-caliber technical sessions will be highlighted by plenary talks and invited talks by international research pioneers and leaders behind modern electronic technology.
Key attractions include:
*Plenary and invited presentations given by world-wide leaders including Heike Riel (IBM), Jayant Baliga (NCSU), and Philip Wong (Stanford)
*Informative, timely short courses in rapidly developing fields
*Oral & poster presentations on electronic/photonic device experiments & simulations
*University setting encourages open technical discussion of recent advances
*Happy hour dinner at the beach followed by lively evening "rump" sessions
*Strong student participation, including student travel support & Student Paper Award
The DRC is coordinated with the Electronic Materials Conference (EMC), which is held during the same week from June 27-29, 2018. This recognizes the strong interaction between device and electronic materials research and provides for fruitful exchange of information between attendees of both conferences. Updates on the short course, invited speakers and special sessions will be posted online. For additional inquiries please contact the conference chairs. We hope to see you in Santa Barbara in the Summer of 2018!
Aaron Franklin (Duke), General Chair
Deji Akinwande (UT-Austin), Technical Program Chair
Siddharth Rajan (OSU), Technical Program Vice Chair
