Attached and below please find a flier for a lecture that will take place this week in the course "Life as a Faculty Entrepreneur: Discover, Development, Translation" that is open to the public. Please forward to any interested parties.
Dr. Andrew Kent is a Professor of Physics at New York University, where he conducts research in experimental condensed matter physics. He is the scientific founder of Spin Transfer Technologies, which is developing and commercializing OST-MRAM(tm), its spin transfer MRAM (magnetoresistive random access memory) technology which has much faster performance with much less energy than conventional approaches. The company has raised $36 million in venture funding from Allied Minds and Invesco Asset Management.
Kent received his Ph.D. from Stanford University and B.S degree from Cornell University. He conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Geneva in Switzerland and the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in New York.
