Below is the current condition of Birck center operations.  All general labs are open for research.  The cleanroom will be closed for the next 2 hours to stabilize humidity control and time to recover from the loss of makeup air.   The cleanroom will reopen at 12 noon.

Dear BNC Users -



UPS power has been restored to the building.  The main breaker just after the static UPS failed, but the UPS was operational with no issue.  We have logged a service call to the UPS vendor to have the static UPS system checked out by the vendor field engineer.



We are dealing with several building alarms due to the building automation system being powered off.  Below is the list of BRK critical building systems showing their current status.



More updates will be sent as conditions improve.

Below is the current condition of Birck Center Operations.  All cleanroom and labs are closed for research and the cleanroom is running negative due to no makeup air. We have the run our chemical exhaust system in hand operation for safety reasons (toxic gas and chemicals), since all building controls run off of the UPS power system that is down.

We have located the issue with a failed main breaker after the UPS unit. We are currently waiting on the Purdue University electrical shop to safety trouble shoot the breaker issue.

Dear BNC User -

The BRK lost UPS power that runs all of our critical building control systems as well as sensitive research tools.  Card reader system is currently offline since it's powered up by the UPS system.  We were in the process of bringing in the Purdue high voltage crew to help with switching power.  Updates will be sent when new information comes in.
