The work described below has been completed and the hoods have been reopened. Laboratory room temperatures are currently running warmer than their set points, but they will return to normal in a short time.

All hoods in the east wing of the Birck Nanotechnology Center will be shut down at 7:00 am Wednesday morning, 14 November 2012. All hazardous materials - chemical and biological - must be removed from the hoods prior to that time. We hope to have the hoods operational by noon on Wednesday. Please watch for a bnc-facility-notice e-mail and the removal of the signs before using a hood in the east wing.



Hoods in the west wing of the facility will NOT be affected by this work.
