[BNC-all] Notification of Scheduled work on 9-16 thru 9-18

WORK TO BE PERFORMED: From 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM on 9/16/16, the ITaP Data Networks Team will be performing the work necessary to resolve an existing bug situation on a campus router.

AFFECTED CLIENTS: It is hoped that this work will have no impact on client services however it is possible that if success is not achieved via the first couple steps of the work plan then an additional more severe step will need to be taken.  If that were to end up being the case, that step will cause service disruptions for the following items:

1. ns4 Blue Cat server

2. Google Cache

3. Wintek backup link

SCOPE OF WORK:  During the scheduled outage window, affected client(s) will ideally experience no service outage but if the more disruptive step referred to above ends up being necessary, clients should plan to experience 1 or 2 service disruptions lasting up to 1 hour in total duration.  Even in such a scenario it is possible that many affected clients will not experience a true outage but may just notice slower response times during the scheduled work.

WORK TO BE PERFORMED: From 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM on 9/17/16, the ITaP Data Networks Team will be performing work that will cause a disruption of DNS/DHCP services.
AFFECTED CLIENTS: All campus clients should plan to experience disruption of DNS/DHCP services.

SCOPE OF WORK:  Sometime during the scheduled outage window, affected client(s) should plan to experience a disruption of DNS services lasting up to 1 minute in duration and a disruption of DHCP services lasting up to 5 minutes in duration.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED: From 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM on 9/18/16, the ITaP Data Networks Team will be performing work that will cause a disruption of campus PAL wireless network service.
AFFECTED CLIENTS: All campus clients should plan to experience disruption of PAL wireless service.

SCOPE OF WORK:  Sometime during the scheduled outage window, affected client(s) should plan to experience a disruption of PAL wireless network service lasting up to 15 minutes in duration.
