Graduate Student Office Temperatures

A user wrote on this week's survey that sometimes the graduate student offices here at Birck are uncomfortably cool, especially when spending long hours in the office. They were asking to raise the office temperature by 2C - 3C to be more comfortable. Mark Voorhis, the Birck Building Manager, said office temperatures are individually controllable and can be adjusted up or down depending on the preferences of the occupants. He has a building monitoring system and he took a quick reading of several office temperatures showing various set points to be 70F - 75F with actual temperatures tracking the set points closely. So if you're uncomfortable with office temperatures, and your office mates agree, please contact Mark or Mary Jo to request a change and they will accommodate the request.
