Subject: Notification of Scheduled Brief Data Network Outage for All Campus Buildings - ITaP Data Centers Not Affected! – ITaP Change Management RFC #5014

WORK TO BE PERFORMED: From 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Friday, 10/16/15, the ITaP Data Networks Team will be performing work that will cause a disruption of data network services for all campus clients.

AFFECTED CLIENTS: All campus ITaP data network clients should plan to experience disruption of wired network services (via data PIC) and wireless network services (via PAL3.0).  Please note that ITaP data centers should not be impacted by this work so services such as the Purdue home web page, email, and other critical services that are run out of the ITaP data centers will remain online and functional.

SCOPE OF WORK:  During the scheduled outage window, Affected Client(s) should plan to experience 1 or more service disruptions lasting up to 8 minutes each in duration.  Most clients should only experience a single 8-minute service disruption but some clients may experience multiple such disruptions.
