Event Overview:
VACCINE (Visual Analytics for Command, Control, and Interoperability Environments) is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence based at Purdue and specializing in providing visual analytics solutions to help our nation's homeland security personnel to make decisions in time-sensitive situations.

The annual meeting provides a public forum to discuss VACCINE activities and the challenges of visual analytics, data, and homeland security.  The event also includes invited presentations, panel discussions and a technology showcase of decision-making tools with hands-on demonstrations of state-of-the-art technologies. U.S. Coast Guard, senior U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials, law enforcement, and emergency response personnel, as well as faculty and students from Purdue and VACCINE's 29 member schools will be in attendance and actively participating in this event. Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski will also be in attendance on October 7th and giving remarks at 9:00 a.m.

Attendees from any government, corporate, academic, or non-profit agencies associated with homeland security or visual and data analytics issues are welcome to ensure a broad range of input and perspective on important challenges facing the nation's overall security.
