New Office Supply Vendor Beginning July 1st

Our current contract with Guy Brown expires on June 30th. Effective July 1st, the new supplier for office supplies will be OfficeMax.

The Guy Brown catalog will not be available within Ariba after Monday June 30th at 3:00 pm. The new punch-out catalog has been scheduled to be available in Ariba Tuesday morning, July 1st. Purdue University will be closed Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence day.

Survey
Aligners

Based on earlier survey input asking for aligner service, we scheduled a field service engineer to come this week to service our optical alignment systems.  He did general preventive maintenance on all systems on their manipulators, and improved focus.  Additionally he replaced the air cylinders on the MJB3-1 and MJB3-2 mirror housings, tightened the wafer alignment theta micrometer and chuck holder for smoother operation on the MJB3-2, and cleaned and improved the travel mechanisms.  On the MA24 he adjusted the proximity sensor on the wafer unload transfer arm.  They should be tuned-up and ready to go.

Panasonic, Leybold

We have repaired both the Panasonic etcher and the Leybold e-beam evaporator, and they have been returned to service.  Both had difficult issues that required several days to diagnose and fix.  Thank you for your patience during this time.

Waste Reminder

We've had two instances this week where sharps and/or hazardous materials were found by the custodians in office trash.  Please remember to use proper disposal receptacles for this type of waste.  These waste bins are located throughout the facility . . . never dispose of this type of waste in normal trash cans, and never have this material in offices.
