EE & MSEE Building closure

EE and MSEE Building Occupants,

We have finalized the dates for the Electrical Shutdown for the entire EE and MSEE Buildings. The electrical shutdown is part of a campus wide metering initiative, electrical meters are being installed on the building utilities for all campus buildings. They have installed these meters in about 100 campus buildings so far.

During the times listed below, for safety reasons no one will be allowed to enter the building.    If you have any questions or concerns you may call Steve Devault at 46677 or email devault at purdue.edu<mailto:devault at purdue.edu>.

EE Building will be down on Monday, 12/29/14 starting at 5:30pm for about 4 hours.

MSEE Building will be down on Saturday, 1/10/15 starting at 8:00am for about 4 hours.

Concur has learned of a phishing scam designed to trick users into giving up Concur Travel and Expense credentials. The offending email offers $200 in Personal Travel Credit, and directs the user to a domain that is not the correct concursolutions.com domain. Delete this email and do not follow the link. If you suspect you have already clicked the link, change your password immediately.

Purdue Closure
Purdue University will be closed Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Purdue will also be closed Thursday, January 1st and Friday, January 2nd in observance of the New Year.

Many staff members will be on vacation at various times over the holidays, please plan accordingly.

Toxic Gas Monitoring System

The TGMS experienced a significant failure in the control computer and a new computer was installed by the Honeywell field service engineer late this week.  This morning the local programming of the new computer was completed and now all toxic gas processes are turned back on.  Additionally our wireless monitoring system has experienced an intermittent drop in output voltage on one sensor so a different field engineer is remotely reprogramming that system.  This wireless system monitors hydrogen and methane so those processes will be unavailable until this reprogramming is completed.  Our hope is that this can be completed yet today (Friday) so please watch Coral and the display on the second floor atrium for updates.
