Yesterday at the Birck Nanotechnology Center, the Discovery Park community
witnessed several exciting research posters by summer undergrad student
researchers engaged with tackling real world challenges in several research
groups within Discovery Park research centers. The research works presented
by the undergraduate students were truly excellent and exciting, and the
Nanotechnology Student Advisory Council (NSAC) is happy to announce the
following as winners of this year's NSAC Undergraduate Student Research
Symposium at Discovery Park.

First Place: Pablo Jimenez Corredor

Title: Low-Cost, Biocompatible Packaging Technique for Implantable
Biomedical Devices

Second Place: Akshay Kochar

Title: INFertMapper- A Mobile Map App for Fertilizer Setbacks

Third Place: Danielle McNeely

Title: Designing constructed wetlands for water purification in Tanzania.

NSAC thanks the entire Discovery Park community and in particular the
undergrad student presenters, judges and all those that made the event
possible. NSAC appreciates and will continue to count on your unwavering
support of its effort in enhancing research awareness among students and
faculty at Birck, Discovery Park, and all of Purdue.
