Modeling and Simulation of Photovoltaic Solar Power Systems using MATLAB and Simulink This seminar will focus on the design, analysis and testing of photovoltaic solar power based systems in Simulink. Starting from single components, like PV solar cells, PV solar arrays and batteries, to the power electronic circuits and control algorithms required for an optimized full system implementation. Throughout the presentation we will explore how a variety of MathWorks tools can help you with every step of the design and development process.

Highlights include:
*       Modeling fundamental electrical and electronic components such as PV cells, batteries, transistors and semiconductor devices
*       Analyzing different power electronic circuit topologies such as AC-DC power inverters and DC-DC power converters
*       Using experimental and/or test data for automatic model validation
*       Designing and optimizing control algorithms including voltage or current regulation and maximum power point tracking
