[BNC-all] BNC Shutdown May 2-6, 2011

Dear All BNC Users:


The semiannual shutdown of the Birck Nanotechnology Center will take place Monday through Friday, May 2-6, 2011.

The Cleanroom and Laboratories will be closed at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning.  If all goes according to our plan, they will reopen at 11:00 AM Friday morning.  If issues arise, they may be closed for some or all of Friday, May 6.

To help us prepare for the maintenance work on the exhaust systems, please remove all material from all fume hoods prior to the shutdown.
NOTE:  ANY MATERIAL LEFT IN THE HOODS AT THE TIME OF SHUTDOWN WILL BE DISCARDED.

The Friday startup times for the cleanroom and laboratories apply to the facility, not necessarily the equipment.  During this shutdown week the process tools and equipment will also be undergoing preventative maintenance.  Please check Coral for equipment startup times.
