*ANNOUNCEMENTS*

*All-User Make-Up Meetings:* As a reminder, all users of the Birck
Nanotechnology Center are required by law to attend an annual meeting to
receive 'right to know' and safety training, as well as general BNC updates.
The meetings were held Wednesday and Thursday evenings of this week. If you
were unable to attend one of these meetings, there will be two make-up
sessions offered next week. These make-up meetings will be held at 10:00
a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday, in Burton-Morgan 121. Thank you, Ron
Reger<rreger at purdue.edu>,
Process & Equipment Manager, Birck Nanotechnology Center; 4-6667

*FACULTY NEWS*

Joseph Irudayaraj's paper noticed in several places. Among the agencies that
noted the work was the “NCI [National Cancer Institute] Alliance for
Nanotechnology in Cancer.” The article is “Nanoprobes Hit Targets in Tumors,
Could Lessen Chemo Side Effects.” NCI picking up on the article is a nice
recognition. http://nano.cancer.gov/action/news/nanotech_news.asp
