ELM: Deleting Aliases

NOTE: Deleted aliases cannot be recovered, so be sure to follow the prompts and select your answers carefully to avoid losing aliases. To delete an alias:

  1. Move the highlight bar on the alias screen to the alias that you want to delete.

  2. Press `d'. This will put a D in the first column to show that the alias is marked for deletion.

  3. Press `$'. ELM will display:
Alias: Resynchronize aliases... Delete 1 alias? (y/n) n
Press `y' if you want the alias deleted, or `n' if not.

  4. The program will delete the alias if you press `y', re-read your list of aliases, and return to the Alias: prompt.
