Abstract: Market acceptance of new technology in ruggedized, off-highway vehicles depends on demonstrating quality, reliability, and a strong value proposition to perspective buyers. With relatively-low fuel prices and mature competing technologies, fuel economy improvements often cannot serve as the sole value proposition for electrification. This presentation discusses several electrification applications, illustrating various value propositions presented by combining electrification and creative thinking to solve customer challenges.
Speaker: Kent Wanner is a Sr. Staff Power Electronics Design Engineer at John Deere Electronic Solutions (JDES) in Fargo, ND.
