The 2009 ECE & ECN Service Recognition Luncheon was held December 18 at the Trails in Lafayette. Staff were recognized for their service and gifts were given by spinning the "ECE Wheel of Fortune". Gifts were donated by ECE supervisors.

Coding Based Opportunistic Routing" and was co-authored with Prof. Chih-Chun Wang and Prof. Y. Charlie Hu

The 2009 Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineering Awards recipients are David J. Dries, John D. McDonald, Keerti Melkote, Jonathan A. Murray, and Karenann Terrell

The honorable mention award was for his paper titled "A Capacitively-Loaded MEMS Slot Element for Wireless Temperature Sensing of up to 300C." He is advised by Professor Dimitri Peroulis.

He was co-advised by Professors Pedro Irazoqui and William Chappell. The title of the paper was "High Frequency Transcutaneous Transmission using Stents Configured as a Dipole Radiator for Cardiovascular Implantable Devices."

The Graduate Student Fellowship is awarded annually to 12 students across the globe. Zubin works with Professor Evgenii Narimanov in the field of nano-optics and metamaterials.

Sumeet is a graduate student studying with Professor Kaushik Roy

The award from the MILCOM Conference Board recognizes individuals who have made important technical contributions to military communications over a period of years as evidenced by technical papers and presentations at MILCOM conferences.

ECE students Dustin Mitchell, Clement Lan, and Kuan-Po Chen were part of Purdue's IEEE ROV team competing on June 25th in the world's largest ROV competition. They placed 5th in a field of over 340 teams, and were the only rookie team to place in the top 10.
