Vision


The Purdue ECE Mentors Program is an intentionally structured, formal mentoring program for alumni, faculty, and students to mentor current ECE students. Mentors use their unique experiences to help mentees develop new skills, build a network, set and achieve goals, and more. Learn more about the program below and decide which role fits you the best!

Alumni Mentors


Have you been looking for a way to give back to your alma mater? Purdue ECE Mentors could be the perfect fit for you! Serving as an Alumni Mentor to our current students provides a unique opportunity for you stay connected with ECE and to share the knowledge gained through your experiences since graduation.

Purdue ECE Mentors is an important opportunity for you as a member of the ECE Faculty to share your knowledge and experiences with our current students. We invite you to serve as a Faculty Mentor for our current students via 1-on-1 video calls.

Student Mentors


Purdue ECE Mentors is an exciting opportunity for you as a student to share your knowledge and experiences with your fellow students. Student-to-student mentoring allows student leaders to develop and practice leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills that will contribute to positive school experiences for the entire Purdue ECE family.

How To


How do I participate?

  1. Take a great photo for your Mentor profile. See photo guidelines here.
  2. Submit this form, entering all required information and photo uploads.
  3. Download the TaskHuman app using the instructions within the form.
  4. Once your form is submitted, TaskHuman will begin building your profile and contact you with instructions regarding next steps within a week.

How do I connect with mentees?

Once your profile is completed and launched, you will be able to add your availability directly from the TaskHuman app. Once you have provided availability, students will be able to see your profile and contact you directly through messaging. They can also call you directly if you are online, or book a session in advance if you will be online later. You choose the amount of time you are able to devote to mentoring by setting specific times you are available, or by hopping on the app when you have the time and connecting with students who happen to be online at the same time.

We are the first academic program in the country to offer this exciting and unique opportunity for our alumni, faculty, and industry friends to connect with our current students. Purdue ECE Mentors is a free program powered by TaskHuman. Purdue ECE has is already partnered with TaskHuman to provide our students, faculty, and staff with an array of free wellness resources.
