Lynk’s constellation of low-earth-orbit satellites will provide universal geographic coverage for existing mobile phones and cellular IoT devices. Users will have connectivity whenever they roam outside of terrestrial mobile tower coverage with no hardware or software changes needed to their mobile phone. Lynk’s satellites will provide the missing “link” to connectivity for everyone, everywhere.
We are hiring interns and entry level (BS, Masters, PhD) across the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and RF engineering. If you have a particular focus in telecommunications, software defined radio, robotics, or space systems, we’d love to meet you! We will be collecting resumes at the event for those who are interested.
What Sets Lynk Apart
• Lynk is the only new-space satellite company developing a communications system that is directly backward compatible with the existing 5.2 billion phones on the planet.
• Lynk is a new-space start-up that is designing, building, testing, launching, and flying new space hardware at the same rate as leading Space companies by using an agile approach. In only 18 months, Lynk has launched three different spacecraft — each one with enhancements and design iterations better than the previous one. By the end of 2020, we’ll be launching the sixth technology demo mission of our rapidly iterated space technology.
• Lynk’s technology will literally save lives. When life-shattering events occur, the ability to call for help is critical. Whether it is a farm machine accident, a shipwreck, a hurricane, a flood or some other disastrous event, the ability of people in remote locations to call for help in an emergency is critical.
• Lynk has testing partners in over 50 countries and test sites already licensed in more than 40 locations in 11 different countries, giving us a global presence unmatched by any new-space company.
Career Opportunities at Lynk
• The rapid pace and iteration of designing, building, testing and flying space hardware every 6 months or less assures that for Lynk employees, it is impossible to stop learning.
• Our start-up culture provides opportunities for hands-on experience in a wide range of activities, from building test module prototypes to coordinating launches with the crew of the International Space Station.
• There are 5.2 billion people in the world with mobile phones, and almost all of them have some disconnectivity. Engineers at Lynk know that they are making a difference because we are working to make cellular connectivity available to everyone, everywhere.
• Lynk’s global presence gives our engineers the opportunity to travel, to do field testing, and to work with people from different cultures around the world.
