Embedded Software Developer Job Opening with Cimarron

Cimarron has an opening for an experienced Embedded Software Developer. The chosen candidate will join a key team within Cimarron, supporting one of our nation's primary commercial next generation space vehicle development programs. This program will be used to safely transport our nation's Astronauts into lower earth orbit. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining flight software for the vehicle. This responsibility will also consist of making necessary changes to existing flight software, writing and performing unit tests on software changes, conducting software peer reviews, and developing and running integration tests. The candidate will be working in a development environment that adheres to CMMI Level 5 processes. In addition to the upfront development activities, the candidate will also provide support and investigation for on-orbit anomalies. 

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• Knowledge of C++ and embedded real time programming
• Familiarity with hardware/software integration and simulations
• Strong software debugging skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in the Aerospace industry
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Desired Skills, Experience and Education:

• Experience with Mil-Std 1553 bus analyzers
• Experience with Door, Rhapsody, Wind river and VxWorks
• Experience interpreting formal software requirements specifications
• Experience with NASA Software development policies and procedures
• Familiarity with CMMI Level 5 processes
• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
