DecisionQ is a fast-paced predictive analytics company. We engineer technologies that range from unsupervised artificial intelligence to network analysis and pattern recognition. We employ these technologies to transform complex intractable problems into predictive mathematical insights that are used across a variety of industries. Responsibilities:
- Perform software coding and testing to update and extend our current analytic tools as well as create new ones. Concurrently, create the documentation and maintenance guidelines for the developed software.
- Collaborate with co-workers and clients to understand client problems and create the needed requirements and use cases for software solutions.
- Conduct the research and analysis needed to define the scopes and objectives for software solutions with minimal supervision.
- Manage multiple high-priority tasks with competing deadlines.
- Clearly and effectively communicate through multiple mediums, both internally and to clients.
- Stay apprised of current and emerging trends in cloud computing, machine learning, and service-oriented architecture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, Network), Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to work with programming languages (specifically, C++, Java, and Python); cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS); relational databases (e.g., SQL); non-relational databases (e.g., graphical databases); smartphone applications; and integrated development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile development environment (Scrum training beneficial).
- Two or more years of experience, including internships, developing (a) client-driven software or system solutions and (b) client-driven requirements that guide software development.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply creativity, and rapidly learn new skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
