Dr. Ward (mdw@purdue.edu) is considering to offer an undergraduate seminar, open to all Purdue undergraduate students, in fall 2016, on data science.  If you are interested in the possibility of joining this seminar, please send him an email expressing your interest. He doesn't not know how many students to anticipate for such a seminar, but the goal would be r to give a brief (1-credit, just 1 day a week) overview of topics such as R, data visualization, UNIX, bash shell, regular expressions, SQL, XML, etc.
