Cybersecurity Day for Students

Priority: No
College Calendar: Show

Purdue’s ITaP Security is sponsoring and hosting a day of events including CISCO’s Cybersecurity Wars, a game in which teams of students will use CISCO tools to solve cybersecurity problems and receive a credential upon completion. A free lunch is also provided to game participants.

Other events include a job and industry fair, with representatives from the FBI, Splunk, Presidio, and more. According to Forbes magazine, “Every year in the U.S., 40,000 jobs for information security analysts go unfilled, and employers are struggling to fill 200,000 other cybersecurity related roles.” We hope to introduce students to the field of cybersecurity and help make connections with leading cybersecurity companies.

When: Oct. 21

Where: WILMETH ACTIVE LEARNING CENTER, ROOM 2007
