2017 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Interdisciplinary Research Experiences in Robotics for Assistive Technology

The Robotics REU Site focuses on interdisciplinary research in human-robot communication, robotic assistive technology in manufacturing, mobile and wireless robot control. This REU Site provides undergraduate students for summer research experience by creating an atmosphere of excitement and creativity. Each REU participant will work directly with our faculty members.
Overview:
- Funded by National Science Foundation (NSF), focuses on robotics related research.
- 8 week program ‐ $4,000 stipend, housing and meals allowance, and travel expenses.
- Sample research projects include: human‐robot communication, robotic assistive technology in manufacturing, mobile and wireless control.
Eligibility:
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering major with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program. Must graduate after Sept. 2017.
- Underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
