ECE 696C - Professional Communications Seminar

Note:

Description 2: Topics relevant to the current and future written, oral and visual communication practices of Ph.D. students will be covered. Additional lectures will discuss intercultural communication and communication ethics. Expert guest speakers from the ECE faculty and within the university will be brought in. Classroom activities such as communication case studies will involve students working in small groups consisting of membership rotating on a weekly basis to foster the importance of effective communication among people from different engineering subdisciplines and cultural backgrounds.

A lecture-demonstration-active participation seminar covering relevant topics in professional, written, oral, and visual communication and communication ethics.

Course Objectives:

The purpose of this course is to introduce Ph.D. students to various aspects of professional communication and to foster intercultural, interdisciplinary interaction among them.
