Tenure-Track or Tenured Positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University (UM-SJTU) Joint Institute invites applications for tenure-track (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor) positions, in all fields related to Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Joint Institute is particularly interested in the areas of communication systems and networks, coding and information theory, micro-electronics, electronic design, signal and image processing, robotics, data science, artificial intelligence, and database.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering or a closely related field, and are expected to establish vigorous research programs and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education. Salaries are highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The UM-SJTU Joint Institute receives strong support from both partner universities and the Chinese government. It offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. Programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering and related fields, and its students are among China’s best.
