Summer Paid Graduate Studies with CURENT

Position Type: Graduate Student
Priority: No
Degree Requirement: MS, PhD

The Center for Ultra-wide-area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks (CURENT) has paid opportunities for summer undergraduate research and graduate studies. To learn more about both programs, visit http://curent.utk.edu/education/email-news/ or continue to read about each program below.

Graduate Program: CURENT has many graduate research positions available in both power systems and power electronics. Two of the main funding resources are the CURENT Graduate Research Assistantship (curent.utk.edu/gra) and the DOE Traineeship for Wide Bandgap Power Electronics (potenntial.eecs.utk.edu). CURENT has over 20 faculty and over 100 graduate students studying power engineering so we cover a broad range of power topics. The CURENT Graduate Research program has opportunities at the four partner schools – Northeastern University, Rensselaer Polytechnic, Tuskegee University, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The DOE Traineeship Program is available at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
