Rowland Fellowship

Priority: No

The Rowland Fellowship in Energy Sciences and Engineering provides funding for early career scientists to establish an independent research program. This year, we are recruiting in energy sciences and engineering, broadly defined, in order to develop synergistic interactions with current Rowland Fellows.    As a scientific leader, we value your opinion and ask that you help us develop the careers of talented young scientists and engineers.  We welcome applications from newly awarded doctorates and candidates with postdoctoral experience.

The Rowland Fellowship provides an excellent opportunity to pursue new research ideas. The pursuit of new ideas is facilitated through a flexible and agile environment. The Fellowship provides laboratory space, funding for equipment, personnel, and general operations. Staff scientists and engineers work with the Rowland Fellows to design and fabricate new experiments. Additional shared facilities are also available through Harvard.  The base stipend for the Rowland Fellows is $73,000 per annum with increases based on completed years of experience beyond their Ph.D.

The application deadline is Aug. 17, 2018. The selection process will be completed in October 2018 after two stages of interviews in September. Please find attached a brochure to more widely publicize the Rowland Fellowship. Detailed application information is available at:
