RA Positions in Prof. Z. Liu's BME lab

Position Type: Administrative
Priority: No
Degree Requirement: PhD

Three positions with research assistantship are available in the Laboratory of Integrated Brain Imaging (LIBI) for motivated and talented graduate students in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. These positions are funded through a five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health and will be mostly suited for students pursuing a PhD degree.

Project 1: Brain Decoding Using Machine Learning and Integrated Neuroimaging

The goal of this project is to develop advanced machine learning algorithms to decode what a person sees, experiences or thinks based on the recording and/or imaging of his/her brain activity.

Project 2: Development of Portal Brain Imaging Devices

The goal of this project is to develop portal and wearable devices that can be used to reconstruct and monitor brain activity patterns from a naturally behaving person.

Project 3: Microelectronic instruments for neural imaging, recording and stimulation

The goal of this project is to develop wireless microelectronic sensor systems that can be used for simultaneous magnetic resonance imaging, electrical recording and stimulation.

Those who are interested in the above projects, please contact Professor Zhongming Liu (zmliu@purdue.edu) for further information or interview.
