Author: Nancy Cope
Priority: No

Brown University's School of Engineering has an exciting new initiative - the Hibbitt Engineering Fellows at Brown University. We are recruiting exceptionally talented researchers who have received their Ph.D. in engineering within the past year, or who expect to do so by July 2015, and who aspire to pursue careers as leaders in innovation in a field of engineering in which Brown University's School of Engineering is focusing its activities: biomedical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, fluids and thermal sciences, materials science, mechanics of solids, chemical, biochemical, environmental engineering, and engineering design together with technology entrepreneurship.

Successful candidates will be selected based on an evaluation of their promise as future academic leaders. They will be expected to carry out independent and collaborative research with engineering faculty members.

The Hibbitt Engineering Fellows will receive a competitive annual salary plus benefits and an additional research and travel stipend. Anticipated start date for these full-time positions is in July 2015. Initial appointment is for one year, with expected renewal for second year given satisfactory progress.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their materials by April 30, 2015 online through https://apply.interfolio.com/28252. The positions will remain open until filled.
