Good Afternoon,

Graduate School Professional Development would like to take this opportunity to invite your students (undergraduate, graduate, and postdoc) to the National Labs @ Purdue Days next week, October 6^th and 7^th.  THIS EVENT IS NOT ONLY FOR STEM FIELDS.  We encourage students of all disciplines to take advantage of the tech talks and professional development that is being led by the professionals from these National Labs. One session to note is entitled “30 Seconds to Success” by Lloyd Brown, Jr. of Los Alamos National Laboratory. This session will cover how recruiters evaluate whether or not to further pursue a candidate based on the first thirty seconds of reviewing their resumes.

Schedule

On October 6^th, we will be hosting a number tech talks, professional development, and information sessions presented by representatives from National Labs (Please check out the agenda on the NLAP webpage).  On October 7^th, we will be hosting a Career Fair where students can gain insightful information on how to join their team and what they are looking for employees. Please remember ALL disciplines are represented at the labs from education, agriculture, and business, etc.
