graduate-level EE to work on a prototype wireless project

Position Type: Graduate Student
Priority: No
Degree Requirement: MS, PhD
**Looking for a graduate-level EE to work on a prototype wireless project**

A Purdue Alum from 1995 is looking to hire a EE graduate student to assist on a prototype development project involving a simple electrical design and prototype build of a wireless communication device for a home-based application.  Candidate will need experience working with short-range communication chips/devices such as what would be utilized in a home network environment, such as 802.11, BlueTooth, etc. and be able to advise on best options given power constraints, etc.  Also needs to be experienced in battery power consumption and optimal design techniques for power longevity utilizing DC power supply.

This is most likely a fairly straight-forward initial prototype build, that could expand into a much larger effort.  Am looking for someone who is interested in working on this entrepreneurial project on a part-time basis, with possible expansion in the future.  Am willing to pay a fair hourly or project rate that we can discuss and come to agreement on.
