Graduate research positions in HK

Position Type: Graduate Student
Priority: No
Degree Requirement: MS, PhD

PhD/MS Position(s) available

PhD/MS position(s) are available in the Biomechanics Lab at the Kinesiology Department. The area of research is human prehensile mechanics and the control employed by the central nervous system. There are opportunities for conducting behavioral human-subject experiments, and the modeling and analysis of musculo-skeletal systems with novel control schemes that explain human motor behavior. Qualified students are expected to have studied control theories, digital signal processing. Prior experience in the analysis of human movement data and/or associated fields such as robotics, neuroscience etc. is desirable, but not required. Research funding is possible.

For sample publications in this field, visit Dr. Ambike’s webpage.

If interested, please email Dr. Ambike with (1) a letter of interest explaining why you wish to perform research in human mechanics and control, and (2) a detailed CV.
