R&D Parametric Test & Device Characterization Engineer

As an engineer in parametric test and device characterization group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support technology development by developing, deploying and reporting results from electrical device characterization. In addition to working with typical CMOS and interconnect, you will have the opportunity to characterize new, novel devices.  In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams from process integration, process development, design, product, and quality & reliability.

 

Successful candidates must have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong background in solid state physics, semiconductor processing and device characterization
  • Strong understanding of device operation in memory systems including NAND, DRAM, PCM, storage class, and cross-point memories
  • Ability to independently learn new memory systems
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience in automating data analysis methods
  • Experience in the operation and automation of semiconductor instrumentation including, but not limited to:
    • Parameter analyzers, SPA, SMU
    • LCR meters
    • Network analyzers
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Pulse & waveform generators
    • Wafer probers
    • ATE and bench systems
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of software tools and operating systems, including but not limited to:
    • Python/Pandas/PyQt
    • C/C++
    • Unix/Linux
    • Perl
    • SQL
    • JMP/JSL

 

Education:

MS/PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5 years relevant experience
