full-time associate and assistant professors in Peru
|Job Title:||full-time associate and assistant professors in Peru
|Degree Requirement:||PhD, Post Doctorate
I hope this email finds you well. My name is AnneLiese Busch, and I am the director of the international office at the Universidad de Ingenieria & Tecnologia (UTEC) located in Lima, Peru. I am copying Mariana Bazan, who is the head of HR. Our colleagues just returned from a visit to your campus (we are launching several dual degree programs with Purdue), and our academic director, Mr. Albert Bejarano, gave me your card. UTEC is a new university here in Peru, but it is a very unique project. It is a non-profit institution (very rare for Peru), and is backed by the Hochschild mining company with a board comprised of some of the most influential and well-respected people in Peru. The objective is to create a legacy institution (something like Carnegie-Melon or Vanderbilt), and they have invested the resources to build one of the most high-tech campuses in Latin America. It will admit no more than 2,000 students, and the admissions process is entirely need-blind.
We are looking to hire full-time assistant and associate professors in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electronic, Energy, Industrial and Chemical engineering.
We are offering a very competitive salary, great research opportunities and an opportunity to get in with a great institution on the ground floor. Do you know of any graduating students (PhD-level) who might be interested in applying?
If not, I would greatly appreciate if you could put me in touch with some of the department chairs, as perhaps they might know of students who would be interested in applying.
I greatly appreciate your help, and look forward to hearing from you.
