Coaching Community

Hello,

With this email, we would like to introduce a new group on campus, the Purdue Coaching Community (PCC), a group of staff, faculty, and graduate students interested in coaching. If you are interested in learning more about and/or possibly participating in PCC programming, please complete this short survey (5-10 minutes to complete) by Wednesday, 4/22, to help the planning team further enhance the formation of this group to better meet community interests and needs.

The primary goal of the PCC is to offer programming and networking opportunities that will help create a culture of coaching at Purdue and will achieve these objectives:

  • Increase presence and awareness of coaching at Purdue
  • Share best practices
  • Create opportunities for finding campus partners
  • Create, utilize, and share data-driven assessment
  • Ensure PCC participants get something they can take away and apply

PCC programming will be open to any staff member, faculty member, or graduate student who currently uses coaching or has interest in learning about and using coaching in interactions with students. Currently, the PCC very broadly defines coaching as the promotion of students’ self-efficacy through a variety of interactions (one-on-one, classroom, face-to-face, electronic, peer-to-peer, etc.). We invite feedback and information from PCC members, and we expect to refine this definition as the PCC grows.

Again, if you are interested in learning more about and/or joining the PCC, please complete this short survey by Wednesday, 4/22, to help the planning team enhance the formation of this group to better meet community interests and needs.

Thank you for considering this opportunity, and please feel free to forward this to any colleagues who may be interested. Don’t hesitate to contact any one of us with questions.
