Our main product is VizSeek, a state-of-the-art visual search engine for industry design reuse applications, as well as e-commerce applications. Imaginestics is located in the Purdue Research Park.

Job Description:

The candidate for this position will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects in various capacities. The candidate must be highly self-motivated and managed with the ability to operate effectively with minimum oversight through collaboration and feedback from business stakeholders. Candidate will provide technical feedback that will be an essential driver in the direction of the product. Strong communication skills are crucial with an emphasis on explaining technology in business terms and product opinions clearly in a straightforward manner. Experience with C++ and Python programming is required. This part-time position will be 10 hours or less per week during the semester, with potential for a full-time internship for summer of 2016 and beyond.

 Job Duties:

• Participate in discussions with developers, customers, and application engineers to determine requirements and desired features
• Maintain benchmarking C++ software, conduct benchmarking tests and report on the results
• Maintain C++ test software, conduct software tests and report errors to developers
• Assist development team in improving image search engine with help of deep learning algorithms

Position Requirements:

• Computer Science M.S. or Ph.D. candidate in the field of A.I., specifically Deep Learning algorithms
• Strong C++ and Python programming skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Image processing experience
• Engineering experience in manufacturing
• Understanding of algorithms
