Graduate Research Assistant Opportunity
Prof. Luna Lu from Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University is looking for a Graduate Research Assistant to help on the research of nondestructive testing of construction materials. The candidate will assist on the material preparation, experiment setup, numerical simulation, and signal processing. This is part of a state sponsored project.
Prof. Lu and her lab focus on developing new technologies for advancement in IoT sensors for construction engineering and made contributions in a wide scope of science including nano materials, optoelectronic materials, thermoelectric energy harvesting, and piezoelectric sensing. The Research Assistant will be primarily reporting to and working with Zhihao Kong, the graduate student from the lab of Prof. Lu. Applicants with background of mechanical, civil, aerospace engineering, or with pertinent skills are welcomed. Applicants with experience in vibration and stress wave experiment and signal processing are preferred. The research assistant is expected to present physically at the lab, implement testing, learn skills, generate reports, and open to communicate with colleagues for a coordinated effort.
